JQ has been a DJ for almost 2 decades and started writing/producing music around the turn of the century. He has played hundreds of events since the 90's - From coast to coast and Canada to Mexico. From smaller, more intimate underground desert parties in the Mojave and Anza-Borrego deserts to massive events like Burning Man, Street Scene SD and some of the biggest clubs in town like 4th and B, Spin, and Cane's. JQ has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of the most respected names in electronic music - BT, the Crystal Method, Uberzone, Omar Santana, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Rabbit in the Moon, Simply Jeff, John Kelley, Frankie Bones, the Moontribe DJ's, Bassnectar, FreQ Nasty, Terry Mullan and Taylor to name a few. JQ plays a wide variety of music including dirty funky electro house, breakbeats (nu-school as well as funky, 2-step and old-school), dnb, house and trance (deep, funky and progressive) and dubstep/downtempo/chill.
This multi-talented performer is also a fire dancer and stilt walker with the San Diego based Unifier Collective, and is also on the talent roster of Zen Arts and DDO Talent Agency in LA. JQ's other hobbies/talents include: graphic design, audio design and editing, video editing and videography, photography and photo editing, fire tool creation, and clothing design.
